Welcome to The Stillpoint Project ...dedicated to the exploration, mastery, and promotion of the healing arts Lectures & Workshops: Osteopathic Awareness Workshops for Yoga Teachers, Pilates Instructors, and Physiotherapists Everyone Welcome - No Professional Training Needed Level OneSaturday, March 25th, 2006 - 10:00 am - 5:00 pm The Stillpoint Centre for the Healing Arts, 4419 West 10th Ave., Vancouver, BC This course is aimed at the growing concern for the increased numbers of people who are injuring themselves in their activities. It is our experience that should such participants have a developed and informed awareness of their body within the osteopathic paradigm, they can both, prevent and more quickly recover from injury. Osteopathy is practiced within a highly developed subtle energy sensory field. This field is accessible to the practitioner as well as the recipient. It is a directive and articulate force - an intelligent 'felt sense.' Areas covered include: • an introduction to osteopathic principles • an introduction to the 'felt sense' of awareness that accompanies osteopathic experience • an introduction to body reading and visual diagnosis of physical holding patterns • an introduction to the sensory input of the osteopathic field of awareness • an introduction to the teaching techniques as they apply to the course participant's clientele This course is followed up by two other levels of instruction aimed at review, further development of skill, and the trouble shooting of experiences that the participants may have had while practicing in the field. Course Fees: Professionals $150 The course number is limited. All fees are non-refundable. To reserve your place, please call 604.224.6857.
